Consecration Prayer and Fasting Guidelines

I am asking you to join me as I lead Great Faith Church on a progressive twenty one day fast beginning on Thursday July 9 - Wednesday July 29, 2020. In the book of Isaiah God outlines the reasons to engage and the reasonable expectations we should have when we fast.

“Is not this the kind of fasting I have chosen: to loose the chains of injustice and untie the cords of the yoke, to set the oppressed free and break every yoke? Is it not to share your food with the hungry and to provide the poor wanderer with shelter, when you see the naked, to clothe them, and not to turn away from your own flesh and blood? Then your light will break forth like the dawn, and your healing will quickly appear; then your righteousness will go before you, and the glory of the Lord will be your rear guard. Then you will call, and the Lord will answer; you will cry for help, and he will say: Here am I. “If you do away with the yoke of oppression, with the pointing finger and malicious talk, and if you spend yourselves in behalf of the hungry and satisfy the needs of the oppressed, then your light will rise in the darkness, and your night will become like the noonday. The Lord will guide you always; he will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land and will strengthen your frame. You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail. Your people will rebuild the ancient ruins and will raise up the age-old foundations; you will be called Repairer of Broken Walls, Restorer of Streets with Dwellings.

When we fast and pray we have a justifiable expectation to see the miraculous happen in our life. This call to consecrate, fast and pray for Gods favor for effective change is most urgent. As you pursue God with all of your heart during this time I declare these twenty one days of consecration and fasting will be life-changing as we covenant together to spend time communicating with God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Week One

Fast THUR July 9th - WED July 15, 2020. Abstain from beverages including but not limited to coffee, tea, herbal teas, carbonated beverages, energy drinks, and alcohol.

Consecrate yourself each day from 12AM to 6PM by abstaining from sexual activity, Social Media, TV, unnecessary entertainment (video games) FaceBook, Instagram, Twitter and the internet unless work related.

Week two

Fast THUR July 16th - WED July 22, 2020. Abstain from all sweeteners including but not limited to sugar, raw sugar, honey, syrups, molasses, and cane juice. All bread and baked goods. All refined and processed food products including but not limited to artificial flavorings, food additives, chemicals, white rice, white flour, and foods that contain artificial preservatives. All deep fried foods including but not limited to potato chips, French fries, corn chips. All beverages including but not limited to coffee, tea, herbal teas, carbonated beverages, energy drinks, and alcohol.

For week three we will be participating in a full Daniel fast.

Week Three

Fast THUR July 23 - WED July 30, 2020. Abstain from All meat and animal products including but not limited to beef, lamb, pork, poultry, and fish. All dairy products including but not limited to milk, cheese, cream, butter, and eggs. All sweeteners including but not limited to sugar, raw sugar, honey, syrups, molasses, and cane juice. All bread and baked goods. All refined and processed food products including but not limited to artificial flavorings, food additives, chemicals, white rice, white flour, and foods that contain artificial preservatives. All deep fried foods including but not limited to potato chips, French fries, corn chips. All beverages including but not limited to coffee, tea, herbal teas, carbonated beverages, energy drinks, and alcohol.

*FOODS TO INCLUDE IN YOUR DIET DURING THE DANIEL FAST

• All fruits. These can be fresh, frozen, dried, juiced or canned. Fruits include but are not limited to apples, apricots, bananas, blackberries, blueberries, boysenberries, cantaloupe, cherries, cranberries, figs, grapefruit, grapes, guava, honeydew melon, kiwi, lemons, limes, mangoes, nectarines, oranges, papayas, peaches, pears, pineapples, plums, prunes, raisins, raspberries, strawberries, tangelos, tangerines, watermelon

• All vegetables. These can be fresh, frozen, dried, juiced or canned. Vegetables include but are not limited to artichokes, asparagus, beets, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, cabbage, carrots, cauliflower, celery, chili peppers, collard greens, corn, cucumbers, eggplant, garlic, ginger root, kale, leeks, lettuce, mushrooms, mustard greens, okra, onions, parsley, potatoes, radishes, rutabagas, scallions, spinach, sprouts, squashes, sweet potatoes, tomatoes, turnips, watercress, yams, zucchini, veggie burgers are an option if you are not allergic to soy.

• All whole grains, including but not limited to whole wheat, brown rice, millet, quinoa, oats, barley, grits, whole wheat pasta, whole wheat tortillas, rice cakes and popcorn.

• All nuts and seeds, including but not limited to sunflower seeds, cashews, peanuts, sesame. Also, nut butters including peanut butter.

• All legumes. These can be canned or dried. Legumes include but are not limited to dried beans, pinto beans, split peas, lentils, black-eyed peas, kidney beans, black beans, cannellini beans, white beans.

• All quality oils including but not limited to olive, canola, grape seed, peanut, and sesame.

• Beverages: spring water, distilled water or other pure waters.

• Other: tofu, soy products, vinegar, seasonings, salt, herbs, and spices.

DURING THE FAST PLEASE COMMIT TO THE FOLLOWING:

2. Follow Great Faith Church on Facebook for daily encouragement and food tips.

5. Journalize daily what the Holy Spirit speaks to you concerning each day’s focus.

6. Attend the Turn Up Prayer each Thursday @ 7:30PM during the 21 day fast.

7. Attend Great Faith Conference THUR and FRI July 30-31, 2020 @7:30PM.

Daily Prayer & Confession Template

July 9 - Day 1

Focus: Spiritual Hunger Increased

Scripture Mediation Confession: Father in Jesus name we confess according to I Peter 2:2 Like newborn babies, long for the pure milk of the word, we long for your word so that by it we may grow in Jesus name.

Prayer For Today: Father, I pray that You will give me a spiritual hunger for You and a spiritual hunger for Your Word as never before.

July 10 - Day 2

Focus: Draw Closer to God

Scripture Mediation Confession: Father we confess according to James 4:8 that if we draw near to You, You will draw near to us. Thank you for being near all who call upon You according to Psalm 145:18.

Prayer For Today: Father, I pray that You cause me to draw closer to You.

July 11 - Day 3

Focus: Wonder Working Worship with Your Whole Heart

Scripture Mediation Confession: Father, we confess according to Psalms 29:2 that we will give thanks unto You and we will give You theglory due unto Your name.

Prayer For Today: Father, I pray that the wonder working worship in my heart causes the supernatural to take place.

July 12 - Day 4

Focus: Walking in Wisdom and Revelation

Scripture Mediation Confession: Father, I confess according to James 1:5 that we will ask for wisdom because Your Word says “If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, and it shall be given him”.

Prayer For Today: Father, my prayer today is that I am walking in wisdom and revelation of Your will.

July 13 - Day 5

Focus: Filled with Purpose, Power, and Praise

Scripture Mediation Confession: Father thank You that You have filled us with purpose, power, and praise. Your Word says in Jeremiah 1:5 - Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.

Prayer For Today: Father, I pray that I am filled with purpose, power, and praise.

July 14 - Day 6

Focus: Balance Life

Scripture Mediation Confession: Father Your Word says in Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 that There is an appointed time for everything. And there is a time for every event under heaven-- A time to give birth and a time to die; A time to plant and a time to uproot what is planted. A time to kill and a time to heal; A time to tear down and a time to build up. So thank You for a balanced life in Jesus name.

Prayer For Today: Father, I pray that today I am balanced in every area of my life.

July 15 - Day 7

Focus: How to Hear from God

Scripture Mediation Confession: Father thank You that I belong to You and I hear Your voice. Your Word says in John 10:27 - My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.

Prayer For Today: Father, I pray today I hear Your voice and the voice of a stranger I will not follow.

July 16 - Day 8

Focus: Personal Finances

Scripture Mediation Confession: Father thank You for Your Word in Luke 6:38 that says “Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again. I confess Father that because I honor You with my substance according to Proverbs 3:9 and I am a cheerful giver, men give to me, In Jesus name.

Prayer For Today: Father, I pray that I am a wise steward of my personal finances.

July 17 - Day 9

Focus: Pray for Freedom for the Nation

Scripture Mediation Confession: Father, I confess these Scriptures over our nations: Let the nations be awakened!

Isa 1:2 — Let the earth hear the voice of the Lord!

Rom 8:22 — Father, the whole creation groans and labors

Rom 8:21 — to be delivered from the bondage of corruption,

Rom 8:21 — into the glorious liberty of the children of God.

Jn 15:26 — Send forth Your Spirit of Truth to bear witness of You,

Jn 16:8 — and to convict the world of sin, of righteousness, and of judgment.

Eze 14:6 — Cause them to repent and to turn from their idols.

Hag 2:7 — Shake the nations, so they will come to the desire of all nations (Jesus).

Prayer For Today: Father, I pray for healing and an awakening for our nation.

July 18 – Day 10

Focus: Family to be Saved

Scripture Mediation Confession: Father thank You for Word in Acts 16:31-34 that says “And they said, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you and your household.” And they spoke the word of the Lord to him and to all who were in his house. And he took them the same hour of the night and washed their wounds; and he was baptized at once, he and all his family. Then he brought them up into his house and set food before them. And he rejoiced along with his entire household that he had believed in God." I confess in Jesus name my family is saved in Jesus name.

Prayer For Today: Father, thank You for the salvation of my family.

July 19 - Day 11

Focus: Healing and Reconciliation with Family

Scripture Mediation Confession: Father thank You for healing and reconciliation in my family. I declare according to Ephesians 4:32 that says “And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you, me and my family are kind, tenderhearted and forgiving to one another in Jesus name”.

Prayer For Today: Father, thank You for healing and reconciliation in my family.

July 20 - Day 12

Focus: Restoration in Relationships

Scripture Mediation Confession: Thank You Father that You are restoring relationships in my life according to Joel 2:25-26 - And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpillar, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you.

Prayer For Today: Father, thank You for restoration in my relationships that have been damaged.

July 21 - Day 13

Focus: Pray for our President

Scripture Mediation Confession: Father in the name of Jesus we confess these Scriptures over our President.

1Tim 2:1 — Heavenly Father, I give thanks for our government. I pray for all men and women who have authority over us in any way.

Prov. 1:23 — Pour out Your Spirit upon them and make Your Word known to them.

Ps 25:21 — Cause them to be men and women of integrity, obedient concerning us,

1 Tim 2:2 — that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life, in all godliness and honesty.

Prov. 2:10 — Let wisdom enter their hearts, and let knowledge be pleasant to them.

Prov. 2:11 — Let discretion preserve them and understanding keep them,

Prov. 2:12 — to deliver them from the way of evil and from evil men.

Psalm 1:1 — Make their hearts and ears attentive to godly counsel,

2Chr 20:32 — doing what is right in your sight.

Prayer For Today: Father, thank You for our President, thank You that You pour out Your Spirit on him.

July 22 – Day 14

Focus: Fresh Outpouring on the Church

Scripture Mediation Confession: Father in the name of Jesus thank You for a fresh outpouring on our church according to Isaiah 44:3 'For I will pour out water on the thirsty land and streams on the dry ground; I will pour out My Spirit on your offspring and my blessing on your descendants.

Prayer For Today: Father, thank You for a fresh outpouring of Your power and anointing on my church.

July 23 - Day 15

Focus: Pray for Church Leaders

Scripture Mediation Confession: Father, I confess these Scriptures over our leaders:

Ps 31:23 Father, I thank You that our pastors are faithful and that You preserve them.

Prov 28:20 That they abound with blessings, Gal 6:9 and do not grow weary in well doing.

Phil 1:6 That You who began a good work in them will perfect it.

Eph 2:10 They are Your workmanship created in Christ Jesus,

Heb 13:21 and equipped in every good thing to do Your will. Work in them that which is well pleasing in Your sight. 2Cor 9:8 Let all grace abound toward them, having sufficiency in all things, and an abundance for every good work.

Prayer For Today: Father, thank You for our Leaders, thank You that utterance and boldness is theirs to make known the mystery of the gospel.

July 24 - Day 16

Focus: Pray for Church Finances

Scripture Mediation Confession: Father in the name of Jesus thank You that every need for our church is meet with Your best and every member obeys Your Word in Malachi 3:10 that says “Bring the full tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. And thereby put me to the test, says the LORD of hosts, if I will not open the windows of heaven for you and pour down for you a blessing until there is no more need”.

Prayer For Today: Father, I pray that every need for our church is met.

July 25 - Day 17

Focus: Salvation of the Lost

Scripture Mediation Confession: Father thank You for the salvation of the lost. Thank You that the blinders are dropped from their eyes in Jesus’ name. Thank You that according to 1 John 1:9 You will cleanse them of all unrighteousness. “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us [our] sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness”.

Prayer For Today: Father, thank You that You wish that all men be saved, so thank You for the salvation of the lost.

July 26 - Day 18

Focus: God’s Provision and Protection

Scripture Mediation Confession: Father thank You for Your provision and Protection. Thank You for Your Word in Psalm 91:1-3 that says “He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say to the LORD, “My refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.” For he will deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the deadly pestilence.

Prayer For Today: Father, thank You for Your protection and provision and every need is met in my life.

July 27 - Day 19

Focus: Pray for Guidance

Scripture Mediation Confession: Father thank You for Your Word in Psalms 32:8 that says I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye. Thank You for instructing and teaching me in the way I should go in Jesus name.

Prayer For Today: Father, thank You that I am guided by Your spirit today.

July 28 - Day 20

Focus: Pray for Unity

Scripture Mediation Confession: Father thank You for unity in the Body of Christ and unity in our homes. Your Words says in Philippians 2:2 “Fulfill ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, [being] of one accord, of one mind”.

Prayer For Today: Father, thank You for unity and peace in my home, on my job, and in this nation.

July 29 - Day 21

Focus: Thank God in Advance Praise and Thanksgiving

Scripture Mediation Confession: Father Your Words says in 1 Thessalonians 5:18 that “In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. So Father in Jesus name we give You thanks for who You are in our life. In Jesus name”.

Prayer For Today: Father, thank You for the opportunity to praise You, and thank You for all You do for me.
