Greetings in the matchless Name of Jesus!
I pray this letter finds you living in your best days, expecting that better is coming! The commemoration and celebration of 16yrs as a church hold sentimental significance. 30 years ago, in June 1993, I preached my first message as a minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ! I am so thankful for God's kindness in picking me, guiding me, and sticking with me. To God be the Glory!! Also, when I think back to the big decision I made 16 years ago to leave my old church family, quit my regular job, and move all the way from Tacoma, Washington, to Sanford, Florida, to launch Great Faith Church, I feel grateful. I appreciate everyone who listened to God's voice and decided to help with the vision God gave me to “Make lives better by faith.” I pray that as you support me in this mission, you will continue to let your faith grow and experience God's amazing kindness and blessings in your life, more amazing than anything you could ever imagine!
As we approach the celebration of our 16-year church anniversary this year, I want to bring back to your minds the special vision for the Great Faith Church that God shared with me. This vision provides a solid foundation we can stand on, and it comes straight from the following scriptures.
And when Jesus was entered into Capernaum, there came unto him a centurion, beseeching him, And saying, Lord, my servant lieth at home sick of the palsy, grievously tormented. And Jesus saith unto him, I will come and heal him. The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof: but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed. For I am a man under authority, having soldiers under me: and I say to this man, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it. When Jesus heard it, he marveled and said to them that followed, Verily I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel. (Matthew 8:5-10 KJV)
Jesus defined the Centurion’s faith as “Great” Therefore, “Great Faith” can be characterized as releasing faith in the authority of God’s word only, for the restoration, replenishment, and relief of others. Here is another example of “Greatness” defined in scripture.
At the same time came the disciples unto Jesus, saying, Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven? And Jesus called a little child unto him and set him in the midst of them. And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven. Whosoever, therefore, shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven. (Matthew 18:1-4 KJV)
As we read these scriptures, it becomes abundantly clear that “Greatness” in the Kingdom of God is obtained by using one’s faith to serve others. Jesus is “The Greatest” servant of all and is the model for pursuing “Greatness” in the Kingdom of God. The vision of the Great Church is to be just like Jesus, the “Greatest” servant of all.”
When we humbly answer God's call to be like Jesus, who is the "Greatest" servant of all, God gives us the following promises of blessings, benefits, and big victories. Remember, God rewards those who support His plans! Check out these verses from the Bible that show the awesome rewards of being “Great” in God's kingdom, the rewards that come when we're humble and serve others.
“Let them shout for joy, and be glad, that favor my righteous cause: yea, let them say continually, Let the Lord be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant”. (Psalm 35:27 KJV)
The reward of humility and the reverent and worshipful fear of the Lord is riches and honor, and life. (Proverbs 22:4 AMP)
“Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap” (Galatians 6:7 KJV)
“Knowing that whatsoever good thing any man doeth, the same shall he receive of the Lord” (Ephesians 6:8 KJV)
We are blessed to be a blessing; so what better way to be a blessing than to use “Great Faith” to supplicate, serve, and sow to make lives better for others?
As we celebrate all that God has done for us these 16 years, we have been given us the assignment to increase our corporate prayer, and community service, and to sow seed for the support of our church for the blessing, benefit, and breakthrough of others. Our Anniversary Theme is “Be like Jesus the “Greatest” servant of all.”
To launch our faith efforts on Monday, July 10th – Saturday, July 29th, 2023, Great Faith Church will enter into a 3 week time of corporate consecration and prayer scheduled daily individually. Also, we will be gathering corporately on Tuesday mornings at 6 AM & on Thursdays evenings at 7:30 PM during the month of July to pray in agreement for the following:
The Power to Display Consistency in Faith
The Provisional Needs of our Community
God Prospering the ministry efforts of our Church.
Sunday, July 30th marks the day we commemorate our 16th year anniversary of Great Faith Chruch and my 30th year as a minister of the Gospel, where we will be worshipping in giving our “Greatest” seed for where God has brought us from and then praising God for the amazing places that He is taking us to!
As someone who shares this vision with me, here are some things I'm asking you to do:
First, connect with me in unity by praying the daily prayer template & saying the daily confession that I provide for this vision campaign each day from Monday, July 10th – Thursday, July 29th, 2023. Then Join me to pray corporately on Tuesday mornings at 6 AM on July 11th / 18th / 25th & Thursday evenings at 7:30 PM on July 13th / 20th / 27th.
Second, I ask that you partner with me by participating in a corporate fast Monday, July 24th - Wednesday, July 26th, for God’s wisdom and insight to courageously make sacrificial & strategic bold steps of faith as a church in this season for His glory.
Third, I ask you to prayerfully consult with God concerning a “Greatest” seed to vow on Sunday, July 16th, 2023, and then sow on SUN, July 30th, 2023, during our 16/30 Anniversary Celebration.
After we unite during this time of corporate consecration and prayer, I'm sure we'll see the incredible power of the prayer of faith as God moves both in your life and our ministry in ways we've never seen before! I truly believe that what makes a church strong isn't just the number of members it has, but how those members take action to support a shared vision.
Once more, thank you for your ongoing support. Please know that Pastor Angela and I have so much love for you. We are incredibly grateful for the honor of having you as our partner!
