Pastoral Commitment

My role as the Pastor is to ensure the members of Great Faith Church have training and opportunities to fulfill the church’s biblical mandate.

· To come before you sanctified and ready to minister the Word of God. Rom 15:15,-16; 1Tim 4:12-13; 1 Peter 5:2

· To Destroy the works of the devil. 1John 3:8

· Teach and model the abundant life. John 10:10

· Operate in godly character, integrity, and good stewardship 1Tim 3:2-7

· Practically teach the Word, focusing on the development of individuals’ families and

  imparting the godly wisdom necessary to reach destiny. (Jeremiah 29:11;

  Ephesians 2:10)

· Provide a church experience that is dynamic, contemporary, and cutting edge, where the presence of God is consistently manifested, and the power of God is regularly demonstrated. Is 43:18;-19; 2 Chron 5:11-14; Deut 8:18; Acts 2:38-39

· Provide spiritual guidance and support through "life challenges and transitions". Ps 34:19

· Follow the divine mandates that God gives to the Great Faith Church to fully contribute to the body of Christ as a whole. Jer 23:3-4; 1Pet 5:2-3; Eph 4:1-16

Membership Commitment

As a member of Great Faith Church, we ask that you commit to the ministry in three distinct areas. 1Cor 12:18

Time Commitment - Make the purposes of God a priority in your life. Prayer, the study of the Word, and application of the Word in your family, fellowship, and work/business life allow you to participate in fulfilling the mission of the Church Luke 18:10, 1 John 3:8, John 10:10

Guidelines: We suggest each member sit under the Word of God 2-3 times weekly (live or media). We also ask that each member serve at least 2 hours per month in service to the church.

Talent Commitment: Make your natural and spiritual giftings available to forward the mission of GFC3 to “Make Lives Better.” Every individual believer has a place in the work of God. That place is both significant and vital to the success of the church. Col 3:23-24; Eph 6:7-8

Guideline: We ask that each member make their specific talent available to the church on an ongoing basis and for special projects, focusing on traditional and non-traditional ministry service opportunities.

Treasure Commitment: Make liberal giving and stewardship a part of your life. Deut 8:18, Proverbs 3:9-10, Malachi 3:8-12, 2 Cor 9:6-12, Isaiah 61:1-7

Guideline: We ask that each member be a consistent "sower" into the work of the Lord at GFC3 and cultivate a lifestyle of tithing, giving, and divine stewardship.
