The Power to Change Things Prayer

Faith begins where the will of God is known. Therefore the answer to every prayer that agrees with the Word of God for our lives is always yes. Therefore it is always best to pray the Word!

Mk 11:23 — For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.

that there are no divisions among us; but we are perfectly joined together in the

same mind and in the same judgment.

Mark 16:17 — 18 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In the name of Jesus, shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

Eph 3:20 — "(God) is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask think, according to the power that works in us..."

Luke 10:19 — Thank you Father that you have given us power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt us.

Isaiah 40:29-31 — You give power to the faint; and to them that have no might You increaseth strength. Even the youth shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

The Word says about our prosperity:

Prov 10:22 — The blessing of the Lord, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.

Josh 1:8 — This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.

Job 36:11 — If they obey and serve him, they shall spend their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasures.

3 John 2 — Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.

Ps 35:27 — Let them shout for joy, and be glad, that favour my righteous cause: yea, let them say continually, Let the Lord be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant.

Deut 8:18 — But thou shalt remember the Lord thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day.

Deut 28:1-2 — And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the Lord thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth: And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God.

Ps 112:1-3 —  Praise ye the Lord. Blessed is the man that fears the Lord, that delights greatly in his commandments. His seed shall be mighty upon earth: the generation of the upright shall be blessed. Wealth and riches shall be in his house: and his righteousness endures forever!

In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen!

"I saw in the Spirit a page being turned in a book that represented a fresh start and the writing of new chapters. It was as if there was some difficulty in turning the page of this journal but it was finally done with a refreshing air of excitement as the writer was told to write new chapters but was given no pen...again the encouragement came forth to write new chapters but there was given no pen.... I heard the voice declare the tongue, the tongue is the pen of the ready writer....

This is the year of unlimited potential, possibilities and progress for the faithful in Christ who make the Kingdom of God their priority. Turn the page and put the past in the past because by My grace your set time to flourish and blossom is now. Pick up the pen of faith it's time to write new chapters to testify of My goodness for I do great things. My grace is sufficient therefore no handicap, no barrier, no limitation or work of darkness can keep you bound or hinder my plans for you! Look!  Look! Look! You have been set free so don't let the enemy intimidate you with your past. Faithfulness is the Kingdom currency that I recognize, it is your faithfulness that is leaving the footprints for future generations to follow. Be on high alert be ready to receive from me for I will use new strategies to surpass and supersede what old methods accomplished. Stay connected to proven Prophetic voices for they will boldly testify of My power to manifest the promised recompense and recoveries. Don't be dismayed for doors are opening...doors are opening...I'm positioning My people where My light can be witnessed! Much people will be saved ...much people will come to My light in this season so rejoice, so rejoice with the Angels and let the voice of praise be heard continually.  Let the voice of praise be heard in the boardroom, let the voice of praise be heard in the home, let the voice of praise be heard in My house, let the voice of praise be heard in your midnights with the expectation of the accelerated manifested breakthrough! Remember I am the God Most High and I alone have the last word!" - Apostle I.V. Hilliard
What to say once you have given
hanny-naibaho-305672.jpg

God has a clear plan for financial increase. Scripture states:

Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again. Luke 6:38KJV

Once we have given, it is imperative that what we say lines up with the promise of increase found in Luke 6:38. Our financial giving is also referred to as "seed"; and for a seed to grow, it must be watered. This watering occurs by our spoken words.

Give life to your finances by speaking the "Faith Confession For Unstoppable Increase" below:

"Father I agree with your plan for money in my life. Your Word declares that there is a seed potential in my righteous giving. So Thank you Father that I can, on purpose, target my giving toward specific promises in your Word.

I choose to be a Seed Faith Giver to tap into the supernatural provisions you have made available for me. I choose to applaud the success of others, with no malice, envy, jealousy or disdain. I have sown my seed for the specific promise and I now choose with this confession to make a demand on the increase potential of my financial seed.

I am a tither and a giver of seed faith offerings, therefore creative ideas, solutions to problems and the willingness of others to help me abounds in my life. What good thing I make happen for others You have promised that You will make happen for me.

I am excited at every opportunity to make a vow and pay, because my seed of obedience sets in motion the answer to the financial lack in life and the day of trouble that could be in my future. I boldly declare that my financial seed causes me to be sustained in difficult times.

I rejoice to give because what I sow today secures my tomorrow. I have sown a righteous seed for victory in difficult relationships and the deliverance of others I love. Go ministering spirits to cause my faith expectations to come to pass! And because I am intentionally praising and glorifying God at all times I’m expecting real, real soon an outpouring on my life and more money in my hands than I have had in a long, long time!

Father I agree with your plan for money in my life. Your Word declares that there is a seed potential in my righteous giving. So Thank you Father that I can, on purpose, target my giving toward specific promises in your Word."

Embracing Your Assignment...Right Now

Written By: O. Falade

"Stop treating your job like it's just a waiting room for your next blessing" - Pastor Patrick Ligon

I dreaded my job. Last year I was spending countless nights blindly applying for positions I hoped were better than my 8:00 to 5:00. I couldn't figure out why God wouldn't miraculously get me out of it. I thought I knew enough. Had done enough. I felt overlooked and forgotten.

I was frustrated, tired, bitter, upset, and hurt until the Holy Spirit gave me a plan for promotion.

So, if you desire promotion, let's get you in faith for the next level that God has for you! #YouGotThis

1. Work Hard for God
Bosses don’t control promotion. God does. He sees and will reward you for all that you do. Begin to show up early, work in excellence, follow instructions, smile, focus, keep integrity, etc. If your boss won’t promote you, God will find one who will.

2. Humbly Embrace Your Assignment
In the words of Pastor Patrick, stop treating your job like it's just a waiting room for your next blessing.  Everyday, you're demonstrating to God your work ethic and integrity with the job he gave you. Show God that you can outperform in any environment!

3. Exercise Faith & Patience
In the words of Bishop Ben, if your promise isn’t here yet then you're not ready, it’s not ready, or God is waiting for the perfect moment to prove something to the world. You can't rush God. I've tried and it never works. What does work is exercising patience so you can handle promotion when it finally arrives. It's not time to quit because, when you finally breakthrough, you’re never going back.

4. Apply Diligence
If you're believing for promotion, where's your new resume? Put some action with your faith! Upgrade your resume, cover letter, LinkedIn, etc. Ask God where he wants you to work, apply, and then apply some more!

5. Obey God
Grace doesn't excuse the fact that we have to obey and reverence God. God doesn't want to promote us to levels where our behaviour is exposed or causes failure. If God told you to do something, in any area, just do it so he can bless you. He wants to! Don't be the one thing standing in your way.  #AllSmiles

Overcoming Unemployment

Written By: O. Falade

The truth is that you always win. The reality is that life can hit hard enough for you to forget this fact.

Seriously, no matter how long you’ve experienced unemployment, you must remember that your faith fight is fixed in your favor. Pastor Patrick Ligon always says that "God knows exactly what he is going to do." We see this explained in Jeremiah 29:11 which states:

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." - Jeremiah 29:11 NIV

You are not a has-been, a one-shot wonder, a wash out, or something worth being discarded. You’re fearfully and wonderfully made. You are more than a conqueror. You are God’s prized possession and he has a plan for you. Unemployment simply can’t change this fact.

So yes, you may have experienced feedback in the form of a job loss, but extended unemployment is not God’s will for you and I don’t see onee scripture that says unemployment is God’s judgement either.

Where you’re at, is not your end. Whether you, the devil, others, or uncontrollable circumstances caused your unemployment, there’s hope.

So, here are three steps to get you in faith for reemployment.

1. Believe in God’s Love

The Cultivating Your Garden post said it perfectly. You got to believe that God loves you, is fighting for you, and wants you to win. Relax and trust God! He has great new opportunities for you! Remember, don’t let the devil trick you into thinking that unemployment is God’s punishment either.

2. Be Bold Enough to Accept God’s Correction

In some many cases,  my unemployment was caused because I did something I shouldn't have. If you can’t relate, feel free to skip to step three. This step may not apply to you.

If it does, relax. Accept God’s correction, make the necessary adjustments, and move forward in integrity. There’s still hope. God deliverance is not predicated on who did or didn’t cause your unemployment. It’s based on his unwavering commitment and love for you.

3. Boldly Dream Bigger & Speak

Don’t let your unemployment dictate the size of your dreams! Believe for full restoration and then some! You just have to continuously say “when there’s a casting down there’s also a lifting up and new opportunities are overtaking me!” So dream bigger than ever before and then let God top that!

How Giving Saved My Life

Written by: Standeline Thomas

Imagine your spouse, the major bread winner, coming home unexpectedly early and telling you they lost their job. Now imagine them not getting an equivalent job (or anything close to it) for 2 years. That’s my story.

Let's start from the beginning. In 2010, we were living the cushy life. We had just bought our house the year before, had our first child, and had savings in the bank. The sudden loss of income was a shock.

According to my husband I took the news much better than he thought I would. I saw no purpose in freaking out. He was an engineer and had great work history. Plus, we had a lot of travel plans coming up, so this was a blessing in disguise because we wouldn’t have to ask for any time off from his job. “He should get a job in a couple of months,” or so I thought.

One of those travel plans was to a church conference in Houston. We made our way there not sure what to expect, but expecting to receive something. Sitting in the giving moment, I felt we had to give all that was in our account, but I wasn’t sure how my husband would handle it. I asked him what he wanted to give, and it wasn’t everything. When I told him that God was telling me to give it all, with no hesitation he said, “Let’s do it.” That’s when I freaked out! We had never given so much money at once! I had been secretly hoping he would fight me on it so I could cop out.

That night we threw it all in. We didn’t discuss it with anyone. We were in agreement and that’s all that mattered. The next morning we checked our bank account and we received an additional check from the lost job for more than what we had given the night before! We got back home and received another check in the mail! For a whole year we were receiving unexpected money from various people.

Even with that it still wasn’t enough to sustain the life that we had. We were falling behind on bills and racked up a massive amount of credit card debt trying to stay afloat. We fell behind on the house payment by exactly 18 months and came very close to foreclosure.

My husband eventually got another job, but he was only making half of what he used to make and driving an hour to get there. He was only working there for 9 months when God spoke to him in prayer to quit. We didn’t know why until a couple of months later. A program that we had applied for and been rejected had changed their policies. If he had not listened to God when it came time to quit then we would not have qualified. This program paid for $25,000 of our back mortgage payments, over 95% of the total cost. This was $7000 above what they were originally going to give us. Even during our “season of lack” God provided. We went on 3 cruises, had 2 additional children, got a brand new car off the showroom floor, and never missed church (even though we lived an hour away lol). We came out of the situation not missing a beat.

I know what you’re thinking: “this sounds great and all, but what does this have to do with my situation?” We may not have the same exact situations but we all go through the same emotions, moments of doubt, loneliness, regret, feelings of confusion and abandonment. All of these come into play when you go through a battle like this. But you’re not alone! Here are 4 strategies I used to endure.

1. Take authority over your mouth

What you say in your low times can change your attitude. That’s when you need to speak and say, “This is only temporary and my situation can change in a split second because God is able.” My go-to phrase was, “Devil you’re not going to take my house. You didn’t give it to me so you have no right to take it.” That short script would remove that weight of devastation of my shoulders. You can find a confession here.

2. Build the right relationships

While everyone may have good intentions not everyone needs to speak into your life, even Christians. I made it a point to remove or limit my conversations with negative people. That went for even the parentals. Instead I would speak to my spouse, pastors, and most importantly God. I strengthened my relationship with Him because if anyone had answers He did. In my prayer times I would ask for strength, wisdom, witty ideas and to hear Him clearly above all my thoughts.

3. Let go of pride

It’s easy to feel as though you should have it all together. But the truth is you don’t… none of us do. That’s why we need Jesus! There is nothing new under the sun, so that means someone has gone through what you have. Pray for God to reveal the people you need to talk to about your situation. Pride comes before destruction, don’t let that be you.

4. Be thankful for even the smallest things

Faith is little by little. You don’t have to wait for the big reveal to be thankful. I am thankful for never losing electricity, always having gas when needed, my children not lacking in any area, etc. Celebrate all that God has given you because there is more coming.

You are well equipped for the battle you're fighting. Trust God and you will not lose a step.

Cultivating Your Garden
brooke-cagle-39569.jpg

Written By: Chauniqua Major

Like weeds in a garden, if not plucked at first sight, they will grow until there’s no sign of what was once planted.

This is what happens when negative thoughts and perceptions become rooted in a person’s mind.

Above all else, God wants His people to prosper and to be in good health. (3 John 1:2) It only makes sense then that most people are challenged in the areas of finances and health, which include mental, physical, spiritual and emotional.

Given that everyone struggles with these topics at some point, taking time on daily basis to cultivate one’s garden is crucial. To be clear, this isn’t an outside garden, but a person’s internal foundation that makes up who they are.

With that, you might wonder how to properly tend to your internal garden in the face of everyday struggles, and be successful at it.

Here are three action-based ways to cultivate your garden:

1.     Create a Confession

This is a believer’s battle cry! It’s an opportunity for you to write out everything you desire to be. It can long or short, but it must be present tense, personal, said consistently with a believing heart, and followed up with actions. Example: Jesus, thank you that I’m healthy, and in the best shape of my life. I eat the best food to nourish my body, work out daily, and see myself the way You see me.

2.     Examine Environments

This is where you can determine what’s happening in your space. Are your friends speaking affirming words and/or cultivating a place where you can pray and hear from God? If not, it’s time to dig up roots. Even the most fertile garden can’t grow if it doesn’t have access to the sun.

3.     Believe in God’s Love

In life there are times when our gardens can be so damaged that it’s hard to believe God is still there or able to help. This is far from the truth. God is present, always available, and willing to aid in every situation. It’s His desire that His people are fruitful and rooted in Him. Continue to believe this regardless of how you feel.

These are three approachable ways that you can create a healthy life in God. Go from just living to thriving and enjoy an abundant life that will bloom and flourish from your garden!

Going from Good Friendships to Great Friendships

Written By: Francesca Hendrieth

Have you ever introduced someone as a “good” friend? When evaluated, what does that really mean?

I vividly remember going to a house party surrounded by a few good friends. As I sat around watching everyone dance and talk amongst themselves, I felt the loneliest I had ever felt. On the outside, I was engaging in conversation and busting the latest dance moves but inside I felt lonely because no one around me knew the depression that I was going through deep down inside.

Ironically, my friends never seemed to ask me how I was feeling. Transparency was not part of our toxic relationship. However, I knew that if I shared the reason behind my depression with them, I would only be greeted with chastisement.

How many of us can say that our environment truly uplifts us even in our darkest hour?

When I realized that my so called “good” friends couldn't help me overcome my current state of depression, it was time to reevaluate my environment.

Establishing a healthy environment is the first step to overcoming depression. This can be done by establishing a biblical prayer life. With a new refreshed and consistent prayer life, “good” friends are replaced with “great” friends. I recalled Luke 21:36, a passage in the bible that states:

"Be sure you watch. Pray all the time so that you may be able to keep from going through all these things that will happen and be able to stand before the Son of Man.” Luke 21:36NLV

This caused me to be more alert about who I let in my inner circle also, this made me more aware of others who needed prayer in their darkest hour.

It didn’t take long before my environment went from good to great!

Surprisingly, my friends didn't even notice that I had stopped hanging around as much. That’s how you know that your friends might really be convenient acquaintances.

They only seemed to noticed me again when everything from my job to my living looked better. This was another sign that I didn't need people who would only notice my absence when things started to look better for me.

My acquaintances quickly became replaced by the great friends who prayed for me, with me, and through my depression. Some of which are still my friends today.

In a matter of time, I didn't feel lonely in a party full of people. I came to the realization that the reason why I had felt depressed was because I had a bad habit of surrounding myself with convenient acquaintances in order to mask my depression.

When I established a better environment, I was left with a group of encouragers who wouldn't allow me to sink into any type of depression. Their constant positive motivation uplifted me out of my darkest hour and propelled me into a better life.

Therefore, don’t take take this life for granted. Afterall, God has given us a spirit of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). Let’s use this time to make a good life, a great one!

Fatherhood in Many Forms

The role of a father is one of the most important yet overlooked roles in a child’s life. While media loves to highlight the haphazard babysitting skills of dads; they are capable of much more. The relationship with a father directly impacts development of character, esteem and social behavior. The voice of a good father shapes identity and provides approval. Fatherhood is a call that many men answer to. So let’s acknowledge and celebrate the different fatherhood types and how they impact the lives around them.

Community Mentors

Remember the teacher in school that wouldn’t let the boys sag their pants or use curse words? Or that football coach that challenged his players to make wise choices on and off of the field? Know a spoken word artist that teaches young boys and girls how to express their emotions through poetry? These are our mentors. Men that show up and are examples of character, hard work and commitment. They are pillars in communities and invest in developing our next generation.

Spiritual Leaders

One of the most important fatherhood roles in our lives are our pastors. Like a natural father, they lead and guide us. They live selfless lives; dedicated to coaching, challenging correcting, and celebrating us as we navigate life’s many challenges. They teach us the truth of God’s word which empowers us to win and live out our purpose.

Fathers

A father is a man who takes responsibility for your upbringing. While mothers have learned to do it all, fathers bring something special to the parenting table. Their presence alone provides feelings of protection and comfort. They teach unforgettable life lessons in their own way. From learning how to ride a bike to purchasing your first car; fathers are right there telling you everything they know. A father will work tirelessly to support his family financially. He may never say it, but everything that he does will be to see his children do more, have more and become more than he did.

God

There is one source of fatherhood in your life that is undeniable and irreplaceable. The relationship with your Heavenly Father. While you won’t see His name appear on your birth certificate, He’s known you even before you were in your mother’s womb. For Him it was love at first sight and He’s literally obsessed with you.

Even if you’ve been void of positive father-figures or your father is no longer with you; you have God. He’s the best kind of father. His love is unending and unwavering. His love affirms and establishes you. His love never fails. There is much to say about God’s amazing love for us. We will spend our entire lives accepting, learning and experiencing His love.

This year, let’s appreciate the many fathers around us that are making our communities and our lives better. Let them know just how valuable they are; especially the one above.

What to say in the middle of life's challenges.

There are moments in life when negative challenges and circumstances appear to be getting the best of us.  No matter what the challenge is or how long it's taking to overcome; what we say about the challenge has everything to do with the outcome.

Scripture states: "Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof." - Proverbs 18:21KJV

EVEN NOW you can give life to your situation by speaking the "Even Now" Confession below, written by Pastor Patrick Ligon.

The "EVEN NOW" Confession

"I am an overcomer. I always triumph. I declare- I am not frightened by any plots, plans or intimidation strategies of the devil.  I believe God - He would not let me be in it - without leaving me a winning option!

I am confident that God already knows what He’s going to do and that He is working all things out together for my Good.  Therefore, I declare my help is on the way - my deliverance…is on the way.  The Wisdom I need - is on the way!  A plan of action for what I am facing is on the way! Favor for my situation - is on the way!  Strength to endure until my change comes - is on the way. If I need it…A miracle, with my name on it is on the way!  God is working in me, helping me to do what pleases Him and giving me the power to do it!

In the midst of the enemies attack, setbacks, shadows of uncertainty & disappointments in life - I declare that EVEN NOW - God is Reviving Me - Refreshing Me-  Restoring Me -  and I am Recovering all! I am living in my best days & better is coming! In Jesus' Name"
